Gloriously lacy, with heel flap and toe pattern detail, these socks are definitely for display. No hiding them inside your shoes! The colour of this gorgeous hand-dyed yarn makes me think of creamy coffee, wear them next to your favourite beverage.

Requirements

One skein Middle Earth Yarns sock yarm $[420\mathrm{m}/100\mathrm{g}$ $75\%$ wool, $25\%$ polyamide] colour: Cocoa Dream. 1 set $2.5\;\mathrm{mm}$ circular or double pointed needles for your preferred method of knitting in the round. Cable needle Stitch markers Gauge 9sts/inch in stocking stitch

Cuff

Cast on 64sts, join in the round being careful not to twist. Ribbing: pl, $\ast\boldsymbol{1}_{\mathrm{k}\mathcal{2}}$ p2, rpt from \* to last 3sts, k2, p1. Contine ribbing for 12 rounds. Next round: pl, LC, RC, [p2, k2] twice, inc pwise in next st, pl, [k2, p2] twice, RC, LC, p1, [p1, LC, RC, p1] 4 times (65sts). Commence pattern. Work 7 repeats of pattern or until cuff is desired length, finishing with round 7. Turn work. HtTI (WUInCu UvUI J2SD) Flap: Row 1 (ws): sll wyif, k1l, p28, kl, p1. Row 2 (rs): sl1 wyib, k1, patt 4, [sl1 k1] 5 times,[k1, sl1] 5 times, patt 4, k2 Repeat these 2 rows a further 14 times, and row 1 once. Next row: sl1 wyib, k5, [sl1 k1] 5 times, [k1, sl1] 5 times, k6 Turn heel: Next row: sl wyif, p16, p2tog, pl,turn. Next row, sll wyib, k3, ssk, k1, turn. Next row: sll wyif, p to last st before gap, p2tog, pl, tun. Next row: sl1 wyib, k to last st before gap, ssk, k1, turn. Repeat last 2 rows until final ssk is worked. Gusset: Pick up and knit 17 sts on side of heel flap, place marker, patt 33, place marker, pick up and knit 17 sts on side of heel flap, knit to next marker.
