Size: newborn (0-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years) Materials Needed: -Worsted weight Yarn (Il used Caron Simply Sof for the hat itself) -one skein of light blue -small amounts of medium blue, red, white, black, light green, and brown yarn -16-inch circular needle, U.S. size 7 (or size needed for gauge) -Set of 4 U.S. size 7 double pointed needles -Crochet Hook (approx. size f or G) -Yarn needle -Stitch marker Gauge: 4.5 stitches per inch

With circular needles using medium blue, use the long tail method to cast on 56 (64, 72, 80) stitches, then place stitch marker on right hand needle to mark the beginning of the round and join to make a circle. Work 4 rounds of seed stitch in medium blue. Switch to light blue and knit all rounds until hat measures 5 (5 $^{1}\!/\!_{2},\,6,\,6\,\,^{1}\!/\!_{2}\!)$ inches from thecast-on edge. To decrease: Round 1: \*Knit 6 stitches, k2TOG, repeat from \* to end. Round 2: \*Knit 5 stitches, K2TOG, repeat from \* to end. Round 3: Knit all stitches. Wrap stitch around the white portion of the lighthouse until the stripe's diagonal is even, stitch in place with tail of stripe.
