Abbreviations:

K: Knit P: Purl K2tog: Knit 2 together Sl: Slip stitch (without knitting or purling) to the right needle SSK: slip the next two stitches knitwise, one at a time, to the right needle, knit these two slipped stitches together C4L: Slip 2 stitches to cable needle, hold cable needle in front, Knit next 2 stitches, Knit 2 stitches from cable needle C4R: Slip 2 stitches to cable needle, hold cable needle in back, Knit next 2 stitches, Knit 2 stitches from cable needle

Cuff and Leg:

Cast-on 66 stitches.Divide among 3 needles as follows: 22 stitches on Needle #1, 22 stitches on Needle #2, and 22 stitches on Needle #3. Join in the round being careful not to twist stitches. K1, P1 for 10 rows. Follow Chart A (below) 6 times per row for Rows 1-20 Next row, K31, K2tog, K31, K2tog (64 stitches) Continue in stockinette stitch until leg is six inches long (or desired length).

Heel Flap:

Arrange stitches amongst needles as follows: 32 stitches on Needle 1,16 stitches on Needle 2, 16 stitches on Needle 3. The first 32 stitches on Needle 1 are your heel flap stitches. Continue with just these 32 stitches on Needle 1 asfollows: Starting on the front side: Row 1: \* (Sl 1, K 1)\* Repeat from \* to end (Turn to back) Row 2: Sl 1, P to end (Turn to front) Repeat Rows 1 & 2 13 more times for a total of 28 rows ending with Row 2.

Turn Heel:

K2tog, K1 Row 4:Sl 1, P9, P2tog, P1 Row 5: Sl 1. K10, K2tog, K1 Row 6:Sl 1, P11, P2tog, P1 Row 7: Sl 1, K12, K2tog, K1 Row 8:Sl 1, P13, P2tog, P1 Row 9: Sl 1, K14, K2tog, K1 Row 10:Sl 1, P15, P2tog, P1 Row 11: Sl 1, K16, K2tog, K1 Row 12:Sl 1, P17, P2tog, P1 (20 stitches remain on Needle 1) Page 2 of 5

Set up Gusset:

Begin by working across heel stitches as follows: K10 onto first Needle K10 onto next needle and pick up 16 stitches along side (15 in each of the Selvage stitches and one in the corner) (will be now known as Needle #1) Knit stitches from next 2 needles (16 stitches on each needle). Keep these stitches on 2 needles (now known as Needle 2 & Needle 3). Pick up 16 stitches (one in the corner and 15 in the selvage stitches and K10 stitches (previously knitted in this section) onto the next needle. (will be now known as Needle 4) Now you will have 26 stitches on Needle 1, 16 stitches on Needle 2, 16 stitches on Needle 3 and 26 stitches on Needle 4. (84 stitches total)

Gusset:

Row 1: On Needle 1, Knit in stockinette stitch until the last 3 stitches, K2tog, K1 On Needle 2 & 3, Knit all stitches in Stockinette On Needle 4, K1, SSK, Knit remaining stitches in stockinette stitch Row 2: On Needle 1, Knit all stitches in stockinette stitch On Needle 2 & 3, Knit all stitches in stockinette On Needle 4, Knit all stitches in stockinette stitch at Rows 1 and 2 until there are 64 stitches remaining (16 stitches on each needl.

Foot:

Knit all stitches in stockinette stitch until foot (measured from back of heel) is 2 inches shorter than desired length. Toe: Row 1: On Needle 1, Knit until the last 3 stitches, K2tog, K1 On Needle 2, K1, SSK, Knit remaining stitches On Needle 3, Knit until the last 3 stitches, K2tog, K1 On Needle 4, K1, SSK, Knit to end Row2: Knit all stitches Repeat Rows 1 and 2 unitl 20 stitches remain. With Needle 4, Knit across 5 stitches on Needle 1. Slide stitches from Needle 2 to Needle 3. There are now 10 stitches on both remaining needles. Graft these remaining stitches together using the Kitchener stitch (and your tapestry needle).

Finishing:

Weave in loose ends with tapestry needle. Knit second sock.

Attach Beads with Sewing Needle and Thread for Eyes.
