Hand-Knit Small Puppy Hat Pattern with Adjustable Size and Pompom Detail by Rosalind Craft Supplies

Pattern illustration

This pattern makes a small hat, with a 40cm brim. To increase the size, simply add more stitches and decrease rows. Don't worry if there are extra stitches left over at the end of the decrease round - they blend in fairly well and people will be distracted by the puppy anyway! Yarn: Tools: 8ply white yarn 3.5mm circular or DPN 4ply red yarn needles Substitutions: 4ply white Yarn needle yarn could be used doubled Cardboard to make pompom

Method:

Using the white yarn, cast on 88 sts. Join to work in a round. Knit ten rounds (the rim will roll up of its own accord). Change to red yarn. Knit seven rounds.
