KCMO Cap By DrawFour Designs

This cap is simple and quick and oh-so warm! It's a quick knit--I started knitting it in Minneapolis and it was all ready to wear to the Royals game in Kansas City that evening!

MATERIALS

1 skein Noro Transitions (55% wool, 10% silk, 7% alpaca, 7% angora, 7% cashmere; 100 g; 132yds) US 11, 16" circular needle Stitch marker Cable needle Tapestry needle

GAUGE

4 sts/1" in stockinette stitch

PATTERN NOTES

C4F: slip 2 stitches to cable needle and hold to the front of the work. Knit the next two stitches then the two stitches from the cable needle. 4x1 rib: (k4, p1), repeat to end of round.

PATTERN

Cast on 65 sts. Place marker and join in the round, being careful not to twist. Brim: Rounds 1-3: (4x1 rib), repeat to end of round. Round 4: (C4F, p1), repeat to end of round. Repeat these four rounds once more. Knit 15 rounds.

Crown:

Round 1: (K11, k2tog), repeat to end of round. (6o sts) Round 2: K all sts. Round 3: (K1o, k2tog), repeat to end of round. (55 sts) Round 4: K all sts. Round 5: (K9, k2tog), repeat to end of round. (50 sts) Round 6: K all sts. Round 7: (K8, k2tog), repeat to end of round. (45 sts) Round 8: K all sts. Round 9: (K7, k2tog), repeat to end of round. FINISHING
