Materials:
100 g Ullcentrum 3-ply wool yarn & thick unspun Double pointed needles size 3 mm/US 2.5
Pattern
Cast on 48 st Work in k2, p2 rib until required length Continue to knit 2 rnds and at the same time decrease 4 st evenly over the rnd Add the thick unspun and work both yarns for another 2 rnds Work the heal on needle 1 and 4 for 16 rows = 8 edge st Start decreases on needle 1; k3, turn, sl first st, p2, continue on needle 4; k3, turn, sl first st, k2 On the next row on needle 1; k4, turn, sl first st, p3 and on needle 4; p4, turn, sl first st, k3 Continue like this with 1 more st for ea turning until 5 st have been worked Heal: \*k4, k2tog tbl (= st 4&5), turn, sl first st, k4\*, repeat \*-\* until all st have been worked Instep: k all st on needle 1, + pick up 8 st along the side of the heal + 1 st between heal & foot, knit all st on needles 2 & 3 and continue on the other side of the heal. There are now 5+8+1 on the needle for the heal Work 2 rnds Start decreases at the end of needle 1 and beginning of needle 4: \*on needle 1; knit until 3 st remain, k2tog, knit last st; on needle 4; k1, k2tog tbl, knit 2 rnds\* Continue these decreases until there are 11 st on ea needle Work the foot for approx. 12 cm Start decreases by \*knitting 2tog at the end of ea needle, knit 2 rnds\*, repeat \*-\* x 3 times Continue by decreasing on ea rnd until 2 st remain on ea needle Break yarn and weave in all loose ends Make a 2nd sock
