A: With Hunter Green, cast on 60, Place marker, Knit 2 Rounds. Confirm that the round is not twisted. B: Corrugated ribbing: Purling with Hunter Green and knitting with scarlet, k2p2 Ribbing for 5 rounds. Finish the rib by knitting with hunter for 2 plain rounds.

D: Begin heel: From marker, knit across 15 stitches. Turn. Using 1 double pointed needle, Slip 1"t stitch purlwise. Purl across 29 stitches. (30 stitches total on double point) Allow remaining 30 stitches rest on the circular needles. Work these 30 stitches with 2 double pointed needles for 28 rows of heel, as follows: Front: [Slip 1 purlwise, K1] repeat across. Back: Slip 1 purlwise, Purl to end. Work back and forth on these 30 stitchesfor 14 slipped (front) rows
E: Turning heel:
Front: Slip 1, Knit 18, ssk, K1, (A gap has been created) turn; Back: Slip 1, purl 9, p2tog, P1, (a gap has been created) turn; Front: Slip 1, knit to gap, ssk across the gap, K1, turn; Back: Slip 1, purl to gap, P2tog across the gap, p1, turn; Repeat these rows until both gaps are gone and all side stitches have been used up. There will be 7 or 8 stitches remaining. Heel has been turned. F: Pick up and begin gusset: Pick up 15-17 stitches. Place Marker. Knit across top of foot (30 stitches). Place Marker. Pick up 15-17 stitches. Knit to Heel Marker.
Begin working decreases with Motif 2,
From Heel marker Knit to 3 stitches before 1't marker. K2tog. K1. Move Marker. Knit across top of foot. Move Marker. K1. SSK. Finish pattern. Fudge patter as needed - heel and gusset. Reduce to 60 stitches total. Remove 2 markers at top of foot. Only the heel marker is needed. G: Foot: Knit Motif 2, then Motif 1B, Matching design centers. 60stitches. H: Toe: Decrease for toe in contrasting color. Using double pointed needles. K 9, k2tog (6x) to marker; K8, k2tog (6x) to marker; K7, k2tog (6x) to marker; K6, k2tog (6x) to marker; k5, k2tog (6x) to marker; k4, k2tog (6x) to marker; K3, k2tog (6x) to marker; k2, k2tog (6x) to marker; k1, k2tog (6x) to marker; k2tog (6x) to marker; 6 stitches on needle. I: Finishing: Using darning needle, run through remaining stitches and pull tightly. Trim. Darn all ends Use twisted cord or ribbons to hang. Enjoy!
