Engl: The Not- Choker (Since Isabel doesn't want to be choked)

ires show a green version of the scarf. The blue version is knit by Dreikatz. Thanks for your help!! This Scarf will be knit in two parts (basic scarf and lace border) and the basic scarf is on your own decision how large it'll be. It's important that you cast on all the stitches you need for the entire shawl (length) and knit with short row: the size of shawl you want. I knit the short rows with 1ostitches both sides. The stitches have to be divisible by 5 plus 19 extra stitches for the beginning and the end. Material: at least 268m/293 yards handdyed sockyarn (maybe more if you change the basic scarf) 1 Circular needle US 7, EU 4,5 1 Cable needle Gauge: I never knit one!! Size: ca. 250x28cm / 2,73x 0,3 yards (depending on the number of stitches)

WS: Purl or just slip this stitch Important!: The stitches in the yellow field in the chart show the repetition which will be knit through the entire lace border. The WS will be purled in both parts of the pattern except the first stitch of the chart (lace border ) . This is a garter stitch Changes in the size of the scarf means a change in the amount of yarn you need!!!
Pattern:
rartt:ineipasic>cart CO 354st and knit row 1, purl row 2. With row 3 (RS=k) you start to knit the short rows by resting (or leaving) the last 10 stitches at the end of each row on the needle(without knitting them). If you want the shawl larger in the middle> use less stitches for the short rows. If you want the shawl shorter in its full size, CO less stitches at the beginning. Knit those rows until you got no more stitches to knit. The Rs is in front. Since we want to get to the first stitch of the RS, knit the resting stiches of the remaining RS. Important: Knit the double stitch (for the short row) as one stitch. Purl the wS and start with the lace border.

Part2:TheLaceBorder
The Lace Border will be knit as an edging off border. The chart shows the RS of the Lace Border. First row M1 is knit: the first stitch of the basic scarf is used as the first stitch of the border, out of that stitch youknitanotherstitch>kfb Turn the work and p1, k1 (row2) → turn work and now start with the next row of the chart. Work the rows in the yellow block for 67 times. The beginning and the end will be knit only once. At the end you'll have 2 stitches left on your needle, bind off loosely (smile) Let the shawl relax in a nice bath and block it. Enjoyknitting
