beg bbl: ch3 (count as dc) and 3dc in same sp, drop hook, insert hook in the 3rd ch of the beginning ch and pull out the dropped loop, ch1 to close the bobble stitch bbl: 4dc in same sp, drop hook, insert hook in the 1st dc and pull out the dropped loop, ch1 to close the bobble stitch

Pattern
Beginning
With color A, ch4 and sl to the first ch to form a ring.
Round 1
Ch3 (count as 1st dc), 11dc into the ring, sl to the 2nd ch of the beginning ch to join. 12 dc total. Finish off color A.
Round 2
Join color B in any sp between 2 dc and work beg bbl in the same sp, ch1. [bbl in next sp, ch1], repeat []10 more times. SI to the closing ch of the beg bbl. 12 bobbles total. Finish off color B.
Round 3
Join color C in any ch1 sp, work beg bbl, ch1, bbl in the same space (corner made), ch1. Work bbl in the next ch1 sp, ch1. {[bbl, ch1, bbl in the next ch1 sp (corner made), ch1], [bbl in next ch1 sp, ch1]} Repeat {} 4 more times and sl to the closing ch of the beg bbl. 6 corners made (18 bobbles total). Finish off color C.
Round 4
Join color D in any corner ch1 sp, ch5 (count as dc plus ch2), dc in the same space (corner made), ch2, (sc in the next ch1 sp, ch2) x 2 {[dc, ch2, dc in the next corner ch1 sp (corner made), ch2], [(sc in the next ch1 sp, ch2) X2]}. Repeat {} 4 more times and sl st to the 3rd ch of the beginning ch. 24 ch2 spaces including corner ch2 spaces total. Finish off color D.
Join as you go method
Work Round 4 until coming to the first joining corner dc in the corner ch1 sp of the bobbly flower, ch1, sl to the corner ch2 sp of the adjoining hexagon, dc in the same corner ch1 sp of the bobbly flower (sl to the next ch2 sp of the adjoining hexagon, ch1, sc in the next ch1 sp of the bobbly flower) x2, sl to the next ch2 sp of the adjoining hexagon, ch1 dc in the next corner ch1 sp of the bobbly flower, sl to the next corner ch2 sp of the adjoining hexagon, ch1, dc in the same corner ch1 sp of the bobbly flower when joining to two previously adjoined corners, sl to each adjoining corner in lieu of (sl, ch1)
