Be My Valentine

"Be my Valentine" is a pair of very simple mitts. They are worked flat and then sewed along the shorter edge, leaving a space for the thumb. Romantic and sweet, they have a simple heart-shaped motif on the back of the hand and moss stitched edges.
Finished size:
16 cm - 6.5" circumference and 18 cm - 7" long.
Yarn and needles:
ROWAN Pure Wool DK (100% wool: 130 m - 142 yd for 50 g - 1.76 Ounces skein): l skein. Needles size 3.5 mm - US 4. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. Tapestry needle.
Gauge:
24 sts x 33 rows = 10 cm - 4" in st st blocked.
