Materials
\~ 1 skein Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool, 191 yards ("MC") \~ 3 skeins varied coordinating novelty yarn. Model used Berroco Glint, Elizabeth Austen Yang, and Filatura di Crosa Tiffany. 60 yards of each yarn. ("A,”""B" and "C".) \~ US 11 / 8mm circular needle, 20 - 36" long


Gauge 6 sts and 11 rows in 4 inches (sideways rib pattern)
Measurements
Finished product is approximately 36" around and 8" wide when relaxed.
Directions
Cast on 110 stitches holding together MC and A. Join, being careful not to twist (or being careful to twist once if you prefer a mobius style cowl.) Place a stitch marker to mark the end of your round. Knit 5 rows using MC and A held together. Cut A, pick up B. Purl 5 rows using MC and B held together. Cut B, pick up C. Knit 5 rows using MC and C held together. \~ Continue alternating five rows knit with five rows purl. \~ At the same time, rotate in each novelty yarn, A, B, and C, as established every five rows. \~ When you have completed nine stripes, cast off using the current yarn combination you are working with.
