This shawl is a simple stockinette triangle with a lace edge that was designed to maximize the pleasure of wearing cashmere. Size: Shawl (one size) Finished Measurements: 82"(tip to tip) 43"(length from center to tip) Materials: Lotus Yarns "Silky Cashmere" (2 hanks) Gauge: 4stx6rows= 1 inch sq. Tools: -Size 1o JP Circular needle 120cm -Tapestry needle -Crochet Hook (for bind off)

Pattern Notes:

Please read the entire pattern before you cast on. The construction is a standard 2 section lace triangle with yo increases at the edge and center of each right side row and 5 st garter st border. The lace pattern is a 3l st. repeat, so making a larger or smaller shawl is possible by adding or subtracting a repeat. Please pay special attention to the bind off row of thechart (the yellow blocks). For this bind off, see the "bind off" section.

Pattern:

Using Provisional CO, Co 5 st K 6 rows, slipping the first stitch of eachrow Row 7:K 5 st, turn the tab on its side and pick up l st, pm, pick up 1 st, pm, Pick up l st, pm. Remove the provisional co waste yarn, and K the live sts. Row 8:K5,P3, K5 Row 9 (and all RS rows after until the lace section begins):K5, sm, yo, K until the next marker, sm, yo, kl,yo, sm, K until the next marker, sm, yo, K5 Row lo (and all WS rows after until the lace section begins.):K5,sm,P all st until the last marker, K5. Continue in this manner until you have 13l st in each section, or have worked 132 rows. Begin working the chart.The chart is a 3l st repeat with additional 4st at the beginning and 3 st at the end of each section.K all rows of the chart.The last row of the chart is the "bind off" row. Bind off: Border: Using your crochet hook like a knitting needle K2tog off your left needle. Cast off l st by passing the first st S(on your crochet hook) over the st you just knit. Single chain 7 st, then k3tog and cast off 1.Continue in this manner following the last row of the chart with the yellow blocks. when the last edge is met, close off 3 and then the last 2 st. Weave in the ends. Block, pinning out each of the crochet chain eyelets, And enjoy!
