Hook size:
4.00mm for the mitts 1,25mm for the edging
Yarn used:
Worsted weight yarn for the mitts Crochet thread for the edging
Notes:
This pattern uses the stranding technique. At the end of the pattern, I will share some links that are useful for anyone who wants to learn the technique! Also, the pattern was written using American terminology. Dc- Double Crochet Hdc - Half Double Crochet Sc - Single Crochet SI - Slip Stitch Color A - Bright pink Color B - Pastel pink Color C - White (or the colors of your choice.) Every time you start a new row, Ch 2 for a row of Hdc's, or Ch 1 for a row of Sc's. Then turn. There are many ways to seam the mitts together - I like the use the whip stitch, but feel free the technique you like the most. @
Pattern:
Mitts:
Ch 35 (+ 2 for the starting chain) Rows 1 and 2 - Hdc across(Color A) R 3: Sc across (Color B) R 4 and 5 - Hdc across (Color A) R 6 and 7 - Sc across (Color B) Repeat from row 1 to row 7, until you have 16 rows. You can always adapt the pattern - just continue to make more rows until the desired length. Weave ends.
Edging:
With the thread, chain 1. Make: 1 sc, 1hdc, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc, 1sl on each stitch around. Weave ends. Fold the mitts in half and seam them together, leaving a hole for the thumbl Here's some links to the stranding technique: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-carry-yarn-in-crochet.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF6OkNL5rY4 And this is the link to my blog, where I like to share patterns and projects: http://bemakes.blogspot.com.br/ Copyright Betina Juchem Clemens.
