Tongue, worked in rounds: With pink, Ch 8; sc in second ch from hook and next 5 ch, 3 sc in end ch, (working up the opposite side of chains) sc in next 5 ch, 2sc in end ch. ('top’ side is facing) (16sts total) Bind off. Sandwich beak halves with tongue in middle, lining up back ends. Sew to face where it was flattened and Sc across. Embroider eyes and eyebrows with satin stitch as desired above beak. \* Note: Teeth and tongue are optional. If you prefer a less angry duck, skip the teeth and sew the two beak halves together, adding a little stuffing and attach to face. Feet (worked flat) and legs (worked in rounds), make 2: With yellow, Ch 9; Sc in 1 loop of second ch from hook and each ch across. Ch 1, turn. (note this row is on "top") Working in front loops, Sc in next 3 sc, hdc in next sc, dc in next 3 sc. Ch 2, turn. Sc in one loop of second ch from hook, then in back loop of each st across. Ch 1, turn. Repeat last 2 rows once. Do not Ch 1 at end. Sc in end of second to last row, skip a row, sc in end of next row, slip st to join to first sc. Do not bind off. Sc in top loop of each sc on back end of foot and two exposed loops on top, back end of foot in middle. Work in rounds from this point. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing to body. Sew legs along side/bottom of body. Wings, worked flat: With white, ch 5, leaving long tail for sewing; sc in second ch from hook and each ch across. Ch1, turn. Sc in each sc across. Ch1 turn. Sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc. Ch1 turn. Sc in each sc across. Ch1 turn. Sc2tog, sc in next sc. Ch1 turn. Sc2tog. Fasten off. Sew wings to side of body.
