Needles: 4mm / US 6 circular needles,150 cm / 60 inches Notions: Tapestry needle for weaving in ends, blocking wire/pins, 4 stitch markers, 1 stitch holder / scrapyarn Gauge: In stockinette stitch 23 stitches and 32 rows per 10cm / 4 inches after blocking.

Instructions: This vest is knit with a square yoke in seed stitch. If you are unsure about how to work seed stitch have a look at this description here on Craftsy. Cast on (co) 120 stitches and while doing s0 place the 4 markers (PM) as follows: \*co 40, PM, co 20, PM\*, repeat \*\* once more (120) Continue in the round Yoke: Round 1. \*k1, knit in seed stitch till 1 before M, k1, SM\*, (repeat \*\* 3 more times) Round 2. \*k1, m1, knit in seed stitch till 1 before M, m1, k1, SM, (repeat \*\* 3 more times) (128) Repeat rounds 1 and 2, 7 more times (184) Round 3. \*k1, knit in seed stitch till 1 before M, k1, SM\*, (repeat \*\* 3 more times) Round 4. \*knit in seed stitch 56 to marker, SM, bo 36 stitches till next marker, SM\*, repeat \*\* once more while dropping the markers after the last repeat. You now have two times 56 stitches left on each side of the knitting.

Back and front You have now bound off the sleeves and should knit and purl the front and back one at a time like this: Row 1. (rs) sl1, knit in seed stitch Row 2. sl1, knit in seed stitch Repeat rows 1 and 2, 3 times more Once you have finished one side either leave the live stitches on the circular needle or on a stitch holder/scrap yarn while you work the other side the same way. When you have both sides worked you will begin to work in the round again. You now have two times 56 stitches left on each side of the knitting. Body Round 1. knit the stitches you were working last in the previous section, co 6, knit the stitches you left on the stitch holder, co 3, mark the beginning of the round here, co 3, (124) Knit in stockinette by repeating round 2 until the vest measures 25 cm / 9.75 inches from the top of the shoulders.
Bottom edge:
1. \*k1, p1\*, repeat till end 2. \*p1, k1\*, repeat till end Repeat rounds 1 and 2 for 2.5 cm / 1 inch Bind-off. Sew in yarn ends and block.
