1 skein Malabrigo twist in Sunset (100g a 150 yds) 1 Skein Tomello in Black-gold (50g a 65 yds) 33 beads (24 in gold, 9 in black) 8" circular needle (Europe 5), 16" (40cm) long or size to obtain gauge 8" double-pointed needles (Europe 5) or size to obtain gauge Stitch marker Darning needle crochet hook

Gauge:

20 stitches = 4 inches (10 cm) in cable pattern

Finished measurements

hes (21 cm) tall and 17 inches (43 cm) around unstretched. Stretches to fit average adul Cast on 72 stitches in colour A. Join in the round and place marker for beginning of round. th Knit 5-6 rounds of 2p 2k - rib or desired length of the brim. In the last round increase 1 stitch after every 9" stitch -- you increase 8 stitches and will have 80 stitches then. Knit the chart in Sunset (A) and Black (B)

Decreases

After the last round of the chart, decrease as follows: Round 1: \*k2tog, k2\* repeat to end Round 2: \*k1, k2tog\* repeat to end Round 3: knit all stitches Round 4: \*k2tog\* repeat to end Round 5: repeat round 4. Break yarn and run through remaining 10 stitches. Take a piece of yarn in A, make a knot in one end and thread the beads as follows: 2 gold 1 black 2 gold 1 black 2 gold 1 black 2 gold. Make a knot and crochet some chain stitches, then pull yarn through. Make another two and attach them. Weave in ends.
