Owlgrrl's Neck Scarf

Yarn: 1 skein Universal Yarns Bamboo Bloom Handpaints, 154 yds, 100 g. Needle size: US 9 I bought this fun yarn and thought... what I am going to make? I was originally going to make a cowl, but I really wanted a scarf with a keyhole so that I could cinch the scarf up around my neck to stay warm. This is the first pattern I ever came up with on my own! It is a simple pattern and is written exactly like I knitted the pictured red, orange, gray colored neck scarf. CO 140 sts Rows 1\~6: Knit stockinette st for 6 rows (knit one side, purl other) Row 7: K 5, bind off 5 sts, K to end. Row 8: Purl until you get to where you bound off 5 sts and make 5 sts, Purl to end. Row 9: Knit 6 rows stockinette st. Row 10-?: Begin decreasing, K1, K2Tog on knit row only until you run out of yarn.

Modification: For the purple and green neck scarves pictured on left, I decreased on knit row AND purl row. It changes the shape a little \~ more pointy if you decrease on both ends (knit and purl row). Please knit this pattern for your own use and not sell it. Thank you and Happy knitting!
