This little project is more of a “recipe” than a design, as it shows the knitter the stitches needed to create an infinity scarf using the seed rib stitch. Seed rib is a column of knit stitches,a colum of seed stitches, then purl, then seed. It is reversible, and puckers into a wide rib effect without curling. It has moderate stretchiness. I used the Martha Stewart Knit & Weave Loom, but any large gauge loom with a minimum of 13 pegs Will do.
Materials:
. 1 skein chunky yarn ( I used Patons Rumor - discontinued, alas! - that I found at Goodwill) .1oom ·scissors crochet hook J or yarn needle to seam and weave in ends Pattern: Cast on 13 stitches using the true cable cast on. Row 1: K4, \*P1, K3,repeat from \* to last stitch, K1 Row 2 and all even rows: Sl1(skip the first peg),P1,\*K1,P3, rep from \* to last 3st, K1,P2 Row 3 and all odd rows: Sl1, k3,\*p1,K3, rep from \* to last stitch, K1 Knit to desired length. I used an entire skein, leaving just enough (30" or so) to bind off, seam, and weave in the end. Cast off using a basic cast off, being carefully to keep the cast off loose enough to match the width of the cast on edge. Twist once to make a moebius scarf, and seam together.
