ASCIUTTA Scarf
I got the inspiration for this pattern from a scarf I saw last winter in a shop.

Original size: 65x220cm, mohair/wool/acrylic mix Needles: 4,5mm Gauge (1 pattern repeat) 20sts x 20r = 10cm x 9cm
Pattern
Using a provisional cast on, cast on 63 sts, and work following pattern until desiderd length. End on a WSrow.
Top border
Work in fisherman's rib for 24 rows. Remove from needles and sew or crochet a very thick edging to keep the border open.
Bottom border
Pick the sts from the cast-on edge and work as for the topborder.

To change the number of horizontal repeats, cast on a number of sts multiple of 20 + 1:
