ASCIUTTA Scarf
I got the inspiration for this pattern from a scarf I saw last winter in a shop.

Original size: 65x220cm, mohair/wool/acrylic mix Needles: 4,5mm Yardage: (estimated): to make a 65x220 cm scarf on 4.5mm needles you should need something like 1800 meters (2000 yds) of lace weight yarn Gauge (1 pattern repeat) 20sts x 20r = 10cm x 9cm
Pattern
Using a provisional cast on, cast on 133 sts, and work following pattern until desiderd length. End on aws row.
Top border
Work in fisherman's rib (or brioche stitch, as you prefer) for 24 rows. Remove from needles and sew or crochet a very thick edging to keep the border open.
Bottom border
Pick the sts from the cast-on edge and work as for the top border.
Notes
To change the number of horizontal repeats, cast on a number of sts multiple of 20 + 13.
