Slip stitch 2 to another cable needle and hold in back. Knit stitch 3, knit stitch 2, then knit stitch 1, P2, K1, P1, Slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in back, K2, K2 from cable needle, P1, K1,\*, Repeat from \* 4 times, Rnd 8, \*P2, Slip stitch 1 to a cable needle and hold in front. Mitts (make 2)
Left Hand, Beg at top of Mitt, cast on 60 sts, with US 1.5 needles, depend on your choice of DPNs or a 9" or 11" circular. If your choice in two 9"or 11" circulars, please use one needle for the top stitches and another needle for the bottom stitches. Place marker and join, being careful not to twist sts. Work in Cables Stitch Pattern for 2 in.(5 cm). End with a WS Row. Work in Blossom Stitch Pattern in the rnd until piece measures 5 in. (13 cm) from beg. Slip 12 sts to a stitch holder, continue knitting in Blossom Stitch Pattern in rnd(48sts in a rnd) until piece measures 6 in.(15.5cm) from beg. End with a WS Row.
Then knit Edge,
Rnds 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, \*K4, P2\*, Repeat from \* 8 times, Rnd 2, \*slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in back, K2, K2 from cable needle, P2\*, Repeat from \* 8 times, Bind off loosely.
Thumb,
Carefully slip 12 sts from the stitch holder onto US 1.5 DPNs evenly. Attach yarn, with a second needle, pick up and k 4 sts in space between upper and lower needle---total 16 sts on a round, then work in \*K2, P2\* ribbing st 8 rnds. Bind off loosely.
Right Hand
Work as for Left Hand. FINISHING, Steam block lightly if desired.
