Little Hearts Applique

This is an intermediate level pattern written in US Crochet Terms.

Materials needed:

Crochet Hook Yarn or Thread Tapestry Needle Scissors

Stitch Legend:

Ch - Chain DC - Double Crochet SC - Single Crochet Sl St - Slip Stitch St - Stitch Sts - Stitches \*- Repeat instructions between \*s Row 1: Ch 5, SC into the 2nd Ch from the hook & into each St (4 SC) Rows 2 - 5: Ch 1 & turn, 1 SC into each St across (4 SC) Round 6: Switch from working in a row to working in a round Working along the side of the heart, Ch 1, 5 DC into the 3rd row along side, Sl St into point of square where your 1st St was, Ch 2, working along next side, Skip one St, 5 DC into the next St, Skip next St, Sl St into next point of corner, SI St evenly down the side of the heart into each of the next 4 Sts, Ch 1 & Fasten off.
