INSTRUCTIONS
Material needed: 2 circular needles 3mm, or 2 knitting needles 3mm. Tapestry needle. Hook (crochet) Left over sock yarns. The pouches weigh approximately 10 grams. Circular Needles: Cast on 42 stitches, 21 per needle. Join round and begin working the cart. Regular needles: Cast on 44 stitches and begin working the chart. Row 7: (optional border stitch) \* knit 1, yarn over, knit 2 together\* repeat \* till\* to end. Row 27: To prevent a hick up knit the last stitch one stitch lower.

When the last black stitch was knitted one stitch lower there would not have been a hick up. Row 28- 32: work in Fair Isle technique. Hold one yarn to the left the other to the right and prevent long loops on the backside. See photo's. When you have no experience in these techniques look on You Tube or Google. There are lots of tutorials.

1. Pick up white yarn but do not pullthrough 2. Pull over black yarn, remove white yarn, when you knit the black stitch the white yarn is captured. When you use two regular needles, try Portuguese knitting on the pearl side. In Portugal they lay one thread over the left shoulder and pull the thread over with the left thumb (just Google: Portuguese knitting).
Finishing:
Make two 100 chain cords. Braid the cords through the" yarn over holes" in opposite directions. Add tassels, bells, beads, picot or shell crochet edge, embroider, do whatever you want. Just have fun with it.
Gift Bag
The Gift bag is made in exactly the same way as the pouch. Just don't do the decreasing.

When you use the toe-up sock knitting technique and start with row 41, you will get a seamless gift bag.
