Single Crochet Overlay Pattern
Stitches used:
Ch: Chain SC: Single Crochet Overlay Stitch: make a long single crochet in the designated row below next single crochet.
The Pattern:
Chain a multiple of 5 stitches plus 2. Row 1: With Color A, sc in each chain to the end. Chain 1 turn. Row 2-6: Sc in each sc across to the end of the row Row 7: Change to Color B, chain 1, turn. Sc in first stitch. Start overlay: in next stitch pull loop through sc one row below, finish sc, pull loop through sc two rows below, finish sc. pull loop through sc in three rows below, finish sc. pull loop through sc four rows below, finish sc. Sc into next stitch. Repeat across row ending with a single crochet. Row 8-12: Continue using Color B, single crochet across, chain 1 and turn. Row 13: Change colors and repeat Rows 2-12 overlay pattern for desired length. Use up to four colors or just keep it simple.
