Body of Scarf
On scrap yarn, provisional cast on 25 stitches. With main color purl 1 row.
Begin Chevron Pattern
Pattern row 1 (right side): Sl.1, pl, kl, p1, \*k1, yo, k2, s1, k2tog, psso, k2, yo, repeat from \* one more time then, k1, p1, k1, p1, k1 Pattern row 2 (wrong side): Sl.1, pl, kl, pl, p to last 4 stitches, pl, kl, pl, k1 Repeat these two rows until scarf is the desired length.
First Ruffle
Add in contrast color and work two rows in stockinette. Next row: knit in front and back of each stitch, you now have 50 stitches on the needle. Next row: purl Next row: knit in front and back of each stitch, you now have 100 stitches on the needle. Work in stockinette for 3 more rows. Bind off loosely.
Second Ruffle
Carefully remove provisional cast on and put the live stitches on the needle. Add in contrast color and work as for first ruffle.
Finishing
Weave in all ends and block.
