Sock pattern inspired from the hot leader of the Storm Claws.
Size L
for EU shoe size 44/45, 72 stitches
Materials
100g sock yarn, DPNs or magic loop in 2.5mm, tapestry needle
Abbreviations
K knit p purl ktog knit 2together ssk slip 2 stitches as if to knit, knit the 2 stitches together through back loop MC Main Color CC Contrast Color
Techniques
Long-tail cast-on, increases, decreases, kitchener stitch
Yarn Choice
The pattern can knit with ether 2 different colored yarns or a multicolor yarn. For the version with 2 yarns, pick a solid color for MC and a solid of multicolor yarn as C

For the version with one multicolored yarn, pick one where the skein looks like in the picture. The opened skein should have different colors on each side. If you knit the pattern with just one color, you can ignore the MC and cC instructions.
Cuff
CO 72 in Mc (18 stitches on each needle), close the round (be careful not to twist). Needle 1+2 are in the front and needle 3+4 hold the stitches for the back of the sock. Repeat cuff pattern until 20 rounds are knitted. There are seperate charts for the left and the right sock.
Leg
Knit main pattern. Repeat until the desired leg length is reached. The chart starts with one round in MC, round 2 is knit in cc. After that all uneven rounds are knit in MC and all even rounds are knit in cc.
Stop after round 4 or 10.
Heel Flap
The heel flap is worked flat over needles 3+4 in CC. Knit the heel as written, or knit the heel in stockinette. Row 1: Turn your work, sl1 with yarn in the back, k needle 3+4 stitches as the appear, turn Row 2: Sl1 with yarn front, k needle 3+4 stitches as the appear, k1, turn. Row 3: Sl1 with yarn back, k needle 3+4 stitches as the appear, p1, turn. Repeat Row 2 & 3 until 35 rows of the heel are knit. The last row is worked on the wrong side.
Heel Tun
Row 1: Sl1 with yarn back, k18, ssk, k1, turn. Row 2: Sl1 with yarn front, p3, ptog, p1, turn. Row3: Sl1 with yarn back, k to 1 stitch before the gap, ssk, k1, turn. Row 4: Sl1 with yarn front, p to 1 stitch before the gap, ptog, p1, turn.
jusset
The main pattern continues on the upper side of the sock (needles 1+2). The sole is worked in stockinette stitch (needles 3+4). Continue in the main pattern and knit the uneven rounds in CC and the even rounds inMc. New beginning of the round: Sl1 with yarn front, k17, pick up and knit the stitches along the edge of the heel flap. Mark this spot as the new beginning. Round 1: K needle 1+2 in main pattern, pick up and knit the stitches along the edge of the heel flap (same count as the other side), k to the last 3 stitches of the round, ktog, k1. sund 2: K needle 1+2 in main pattern, k1, ssk, k to the end of the round. K needle 1+2 in main pattern, k to the last 3 stitches of the round, ktog, k1. Repeat Round 2 & 3 until 72 stitches are left on all needles.
Foot
K needle 1+2 in main pattern, k to end. Repeat until the foot has the desired length. The toe is 4cm (1 inch) long. (If you want to calculate your exact toe length: it is worked over 20 rounds)
Toe
Continue the main pattern on the toe. Or knit the toe in CC and stockinette. e the stitches for the upper side of the sock. Needle 3+4 hold the sole stitches Round1: (needle 1+2) K1, ssk, k main pattern to the last 3 stitches on needle 2, ktog, k1, (needle 3+4) k1, ssk, k to the last 3 stitches on needle 4, ktog, k1. Round 2: (needle 1+2) K2, k main pattern to the last 2 stitches on needle 2, k2, (needle 3+4) k to end. Repeat round 1 & 2 until 56 stitches are left. Repeat round 1 until 16 stitches are left. Break yarn, close the toe with kitchener stitch. Weave in all ends. Knit the second sock.
