YARN: The Fibre Company Road to China Light (65% Baby Alpaca, 15% Silk, 10% Camel + 10% Cashmere. 159 yards/50gm skein): lapis (MC), blue tourmaline (CC1) + citrine (CC2), 1 skein ea. GAUGE: 17 sts and 11 rnds = 4" in Double Crochet on Size H8 (5 mm) hook. NEEDLES: 1 size H8/5 mm crochet hook. SIZE: 2O" circumference, 14" length. NOTIONS: Stitch marker, tapestry needle. NECESSARY SKILLS: Single and double crochet, increasing and decreasing.

beg: beginning CC: contrast color ch: chain dc: double crochet INC: increase MC: main color rnd(s): rounds sc: single crochet sl st: slip stitch sk: skip one stitch st(s): stitch(es) NOTES: You can mark your beginning of round with a removable locking marker (or coiless safety pin) to be sure that your stitch count remains consistent. Move the marker every round to attach it to the ch at the beginning of the round. DIRECTIONS: Using MC, ch 78 stitches. Join for working in the rnd, placing marker on first st of rnd. Chain 1, SC 77 to end of round, work a sl st in ch at beginning of rnd - 78 sts. Work 2 more rnds of sc in this manner. Work one increase rnd as follows: Ch1, sc 4, work 2 sc in next st (one stitch increased), \*sc 5, work 2sc in next st; rep from \* to end of rnd, work sl st into ch from beg of rnd - 91 sts. Work one round of dc as follows: Ch2, dc into each st to end of rnd, work sl st into top of ch 2 from beg of rnd. Keeping MC attached to work at beg of rnd, change to CC1 and work one rnd of DC as set. Keeping CC1 attached to work at beg of rnd, change to CC2 and work one rnd of DC as set. Work these three rnds 12 times more, loosely floating the colors up the inside of the work as you need them. End having worked a rnd of dc in MC. Using MC work dec rnd: Ch1, sc4, sk1, \*sc5, skl; rep from \* to end of rnd, work sl st into ch 1 from beg of rnd - 78 sts. Work 3 rnds of SC in MC and fasten off. ave in ends.
