Skill: beginner Yarn: 4 skeins of Adriafil Candy or similar (15% Alpaca, 45% Wool, 40% Acrylic) Needles: 7mm / 10 3% U.S. Hook: 8mm (L) Tension/Gauge: 13 stitches and 10 rows to 4"/10cm over Stockinette stitch Size: unique Finished Measurements: 170x23 cm (67x9 inches)

Instructions

Cast on 25 stitches. Repeat the chart for 8 times (or until you reach the desired length). For the shell border: insert the hook into the first stitch on the long side of the scarf, and single crochet into the stitch. Skip two stitches, insert the hook into the third and double crochet for seven times in the same stitch. Then, repeat as long as needed: Skip two stitches Single crochet into the next stitch Skip two stitches, and then double crochet for seven times in the same stitch. Chart

Remember to start knitting from the bottom of the chart (as the number indicates). In this chart I have represented only the odd rows, and you have to read it from left to right. Even rows: (not indicated in the chart) work even in pattern.

Bobble: knit without letting the left stitch falling down the needle, and purl in the same stitch. Turn the work and purl twice the two stitches. Turn again and knit. Turn and purl. Turn for the last time, knit, and bind off one stitch by taking the fist stitch over the second and off the needle. Left cable (3 sts): put one stitch on a cable needle, and hold it in the front. Knit the next two stitches, and then knit the stitch on the cable needle. Right cable (3 sts): put two stitches on a cable needle, and hold it in the back. Knit the next stitch, and then knit the two stitches on the cable needle. Left cable (4 sts): put two stitches on a cable needle, and hold it in the front. Knit the next two stitches, and then knit the stitches on the cable needle. Right cable (4 sts): put two stitches on a cable needle, and hold it in the back. Knit the next two stitches, and then knit the two stitches on the cable needle.
