With smaller needles, CO 44 sts. Being careful not to twist, place marker and join. Set up round: \*K2, yo, k2tog, repeat from \* around. Round 1: Rm, k1, pm, k1, yo, k2tog, \*k2, yo, k2tog, repeat from \* around. Repeat Round 1 until piece measures 1'. Change to Stockinette stitch and knit until piece measures 10.5"', ending at marker. Ruffle: Round 1: \*Kfb, repeat from \* around (88 sts). Rounds 2 - 3: Knit. Round 4: \*Kfb, repeat from \* around (176 sts). Round 5: Knit. BO all sts loosely. Make second armwarmer to match.

Finger catch: CO 3 sts. Work I-cord for 2.25" (or until the cord wraps comfortably around middle finger). BO all sts. Do not cut yarn. With yarn tail and yarn needle, join cast-on and bound-off edges of I-cord into a loop. Sew loop to inside of armwarmer 0.25" below cast-off (ruffle) edge. Weave in ends.
