Sizes: Small (Medium, Large)

Materials:

A 100g sock yarn A 32 (34, 36) size 8 seed beads in contrasting color (optional) A cable needle A US size 1 1/2 needle A small steel crochet hook (must fit through holes of beads)

Skills in cabling w/o a cable needle would really come in handy for this sock.

B1: bead 1: place bead on crochet hook, grab next st off LH needle, shove bead down off hook and onto st, place st back onto LH needle, K beaded st Cuff: CO 60 (68, 76) sts, divide over 2 circular needles (or 2 sides of one circular) 26 (34, 42) sts on first needle/side, 34 on second needle/side. Work Cuff Chart until cuff measures 1 /2 from beginning or desired length. P2rounds K 2 round Next round: If inserting beads, work as follows: \*K3, B1\* around If not inserting beads, just knit this round plain. K 2 round P 2 rounds

Leg: For Small. omit shaded stitches on Leg Chart A For Medium: work shaded stitches on Leg Chart A once For Large: work shaded stitches on Leg Chart A twice Set up: Work rounds 1-2 of Leg Chart A over 1" needle/side and work rounds 1-2 of Leg Chart B over 2"d needle/side Repeat rounds 3-22 of Leg Chart A and all of Leg Chart B (starting with round 3, since 1-2 were worked during set-up) on established sides until leg reaches desired length, ending with either round 12 or 22 of Chart A.

Heel Setup:

If you ended Leg Chart A on round 22: Work round 3 of Leg Chart A over first needle/side, then Row 1 of Heel Chart A. Turn. Work now continues on these back 34 sts. Work rest of Heel Chart A remembering to slip the first st of each row and work RS rows Right to Left, and WS rows Left to Right. If you ended Leg Chart A on round 12: Work round 13 of Leg Chart A over first needle/side, then Row 1 of Heel Chart B. Turn. Work now continues on these back 34 sts. Work rest of Heel Chart B remembering to slip the first st of each row and work RS rows Right to Left, and WS rows Left to Right.

Heel Turn:

Row 1: Sl 1, K 18, ssk, k1, turn Row 2: Sl 1, P 5, p2tog, p1, turn. Row 3: Sl 1, K to 1 st before gap, ssk, k1, turn. Row 4: Sl 1, P to 1 st before gap, p2tog, p1, turn. Rep rows 3 and 4 until all sts are used up——-20 sts

Gusset:

Round 1: Needle 1: K 10, pm (this is the new beginning of the round), K to end of heel turn, PU and K 16 sts along side of heel flap, PU 2 sts in gap between flap and instep (18 sts picked up total), Needle 2: Work next round of Leg Chart A across instep, Needle 1: PU 2 sts in gap between flap and instep, PU 16 sts along side of flap (18 sts picked up total), K 10 sts. Round 2: Needle 1: K to 3 sts before end of needle, k2tog, K1, Needle 2: K across instep in leg chart as established, Needle 1: K1, ssk, k to marker. Round 3: K even around as established: instep in chart, sole in St st Rep rounds 2-3 until 34 sts remain on sole sts.

Foot:

Continue in Leg Chart A as established, and work sole in St st until foot measures 1 %2" less than desired length, ending with an even round of Leg Chart A. Small: On last round, knit first 2 sole sts onto instep needle, knit to last 2 sts of sole sts, w/o knitting them, place them on onto instep needle. This is your new beginning of round—30 sts on each needle/side. Medium: Knit to end of Needle 1, this is your new beginning of round——34 sts on each needle/side. Large: after completing instep, put last 2 instep sts onto sole needle. Knit to end of sole sts, K next 2 sts of instep onto sole needle. This is your new beginning of round—38 sts on each needle/side.

Toe:

If you ended the foot before round 12 of Leg Chart A, work toe as follows: Rnd 1: (K1, ssk, K to 3 sts before end of needle, k2tog, k1) twice. 4 sts decreased. Rnd 2: Knit even. Rep rounds 1-2 until you have 20 sts left per needle— 40 sts Rep round 1 only until you have 12 sts per needle—24 sts. Graft sts together. Weave in ends. If you ended the foot at or after round 12 of Leg Chart A, work toe as above EXCEPT work Toe Chart on center 22 sts of needle containing the instep stitches, starting at the round corresponding to the next rnd of Leg Chart A (e.g. last round of Leg Chart A worked before starting toe was rnd 16, work round 17 of Toe Chart). Once entire chart is complete, just purl the entire instep-side stitches EXCEPT for the decreases on the sides, keep those in Knit. Keep the ribs on the side of the instep until they are overtaken by the decreases.
