Pattern notes:
The shawl is knitted from the center outwards in rounds. To end the shawl there is knitted an edging across the main part of the shawl.
Description:
Cast on 8 stitches on a threadring and knitaccording chart 1, until nearly the disired size is reached. knit rows 1 - 9 once and repeat always rows 10 - 13. In doing so knit the coloured repeat several times. After an even number of repeats ( e.g. 26 repeats = 27 rings) end with a row 10, to close the last rings.
Ending:
For the edging cast on 13 additional stitches with a provisional cast on. Then knit according to the chart and purl in every wrong side row the last stitch together with the next stitch of the main body. Rereat rows 2 until 9 several times. Two stitches before the edges of the main body beginn to join two times with the same stitch of the body for two repeats of the edging. ( 4 stitches are used twice.) When the round is finished, graft the last stitches and the cast on stitches with kitchener stitch together. Knit the last to stitches and bind them off.
Finishing:
