ThE bLOS SOM BOOKMARK By Caitlin Triall Designs

A lacy bookmark, so you never lose your place...

Materialz:

Size ten crochet cotton, perle cotton, or laceweight yarn of your choice. Double point needles, US size one, or needles to go with your yarn. Tapestry needle for finishing.

Instructiony:

Cast on 6 stitches. Work the chart from beginning to end, repeating the part in the bolded box as desired (the bookmark pictured was worked with three repeats). Bind off at the end of the chart. To finish, soak in a weak starch solution, then pin into shape and allow to dry. Weave in ends. To make tassel: wind perle cotton around your hand until it is half as thick as you want your tassel to be. Cut all strands. Pull center of tassel through the first yo on the chart to form a loop.
