Irene's wallpaper square
for the Sherlock blanket KAL in the 221B group on Ravelry

Yarn: One ball each of yarn in fingering weight in colours black and grey.
Needles: 4 mm
You may choose to knit this square flat using straight or circular needles or you can knit in in the round with a steek using sock needles or magic loop on circular needles. Gauge: 23 stitches and 26 rows = 4x4 inches/10x10 cm. Finished size: approximately 10x10 inches or 25x25 cm. My square turned out a little taller than wider after blocking. Cast on 62 stitches and knit according to the chart. The two edge stitches are not included. Alternatively, cast on 65 stitches and knit a steek over 4 stitches, knitting the rest of the stitches in the round according to the chart. Cast off and block. This square was beautifully test knitted by Ravelry user booa, using Berocco Ultra Alpaca Fine and Cascade Yarns Heritage Silk.
