Stuart's Scarf

This is an easy scarf pattern that uses simply stitches. It is perfect for the man in your family, as the alpaca provides soft luxury while still being masculine. Finished Size: 58"x 7"
Materials:
(4) 450 yard skeins of lace weight alpaca: 2 brown, 1 black, 1 green E/3.5mm crochet hook First, I wound together the black with one of the browns, then the green with the other brown. This adds visual interest, as well as makes a thicker yarn to work with. Start with brown/black: 1. ch 356, sc in 2nd ch from hook & each ch across 2. sc across (355 sc) 3-4. dc across 5. sc across 6. dc across 7-8. sc across Copyright Dawn Cogger Crochet, all rights reserved 9-11. repeat rows 3-5; at the end of row 11 change to green/brown 12.sc across 13-14. dc across 15-17. sc across 18-19. dc across 20-27. repeat rows 12 - 19; at the end of row 27 change to brown/black 28.sc across 29-30. dc across 31-32. sc across 33-37. repeat rows 28-32 Finish with sc evenly around the project, working 3 sc in each corner. Finish off and weave in all ends.
