MATERIALS

1 skein Lamb's Pride worsted (model is Winter Blue) size US US 8 circular needles OR size to get gauge tapestry needle

GAUGE

20 sts/4" in St st unblocked

HAT

1) CO 96 sts with size 8 needle (use 2 needles if you need to, for a looser cast-on). I used the K-P cast-on but you can use what you like. Mark beg of round. 2) Knit in 1x1 rib (K1, P1, repeat to end of round) for 8 rounds (about 1"). 3) Set up for chart pattern: \*P2, K1 tbl, P2, K 11, repeat from \* to end of round. 4) Start chart pattern. When chart is completed, continue as for set-up round (round 32) until desired length. 5) Dec rounds: \*P2, K1 tbl, P2, K2, ssk, K1 ssk, K1, ssk, K1, repeat from \* to end of round. Next row: \*P2, K1 tbl, P2, ssk, K1 ssk, K1, ssk, repeat from \* to end of round. Repeat previous row until there are 8 st left, dec in the P2, K1 tbl, P2 motif as needed. 6) Break yarn, leaving about 6" to thread through tapestry needle. Pull yarn through live stitches, and secure. Block and enjoy!
