I sewed it to the body at this point, through the inside of the bulb, but you could easily wait until the end to sew the finished bulb to the body. Spots (in medium blue or darker teal)
The following instructions are how I made my spots for the Bulby that I made (I crocheted them), but you could wing it, or cut out pieces from felt if you preferred. Spot 1 (Forehead): 1) ch 6 2) sc in 2"d ch from hook, and across (5) 3) ch1, turn, sc 3, slst2. Bind off. Spot 2 (Forehead): 1) ch 3 2) sc in 2nd ch from hook, and in next ch (2) 3) ch1, turn, sc2tog (1). Bind off. 1) ch 4 2) sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (3) 3) ch 1, turn, sc2in1, sc2tog (3) Spot 4 (Left Side of Back): 1) ch4 2) sc in 2"d ch from hook and across (3) 3) ch1, turn, sc2in1, sc1, sclin1 (5) 4) ch 1, turn, sc2in1, sc3, sc2in1 (7) 5) ch1, turn, slst, sc1, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, slst. Bind off.
Spot 5 (Left Hind Leg): 1)ch 3 2) sc in 2nd ch from hook, and in next ch (2) 3) ch 1, turn, sc2in1, sc (3). Bind off. Spot 6 (Left hind Leg): 1) ch 3 2) sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch (2). Bind off. Sew spots to body.
Claws (Make 4 in white): Ch 7 1) slst into the 2nd ch from hook, picot, slst \*slst, picot, slst\* to end. Bind off. Sew one to the bottom of each leg.
Vines (Optional, Make 2, in green):
Ln z. 1) sc6 in second ch from hook (6) 2) \*sc2in1, sc1\* around (9) 3) \*sc2in1, sc2\* around (12) 4) sc around 5) sc around 6) sc around 7) sc around 8) sc around 9) \*sc2tog, sc1\* around (8) 10) sc2tog around (4) Continue to sc around until the vine stems measure \~ 6 inches, or desired length. Alternately, pick up loops in all 4 stitches using a dpn, and make vine as an i-cord Feed a pipe cleaner into the stem of each, and attached to either side of base of bulb
Finishing:
Cut out eyes from red and white felt. Add a glimmer in the eye using white yarn (or more white felt). Embroider a mouth and nostrils using black yarn. Bulbasaur and Pokemon are copyright of Nintendo.
