Jordan's Scarf

I made this scarf for my boyfriend's younger brother. I honestly don't like making scarves, but I decided I wouldn't mind as long as this was knit lengthwise, not the normal way scarves are knit. Finished size: Over six feet. This scarf is very long. If I were to knit it again, I might have cut the stitches down. When you do, make sure you cut the stitches down so the pattern still works, and the pattern needs a multiple of 4 PLUS 10 stitches. Suggested Yarn: Andy's Merino or Malabrigo, 2 skeins, about 400 yards total used Size 9 needles, 32"or larger circular (40" would be best), or any to get gauge Gauge: 15 sts/4 inches Pattern: Cast on 250 sts. Knit 8 rows in garter stitch, and you'll have four purl "bumps" on either side. Start diagonal pattern: Row 1: K5, \*k2, p2\* repeat until last five stitches, K5. Row 2: K5, p1 \*k2, p2\* repeat until last 6 sts, p1 K5. Row 3: K5, \*p2, k2\* repeat until last 5 sts, K5 Row 4: K6, \*p2, k2\* repeat until last 6 sts, K6. Repeat these four rows until scarf is desired length. Bind off loosely, and although I did a regular bind off I would suggest a stretchier one, such as a sewn bind off.
