Cast-On and Ribbing
Using a long-tail cast-on, cast on 60 stitches on one circular needle. Slide 30 stitches to a second circular needle, and join to work in the round by slipping the first stitch on one needle to the other, and then switching the second stitch from that needle up and over the first stitch to the other needle. Foot
Bottom of foot: Knit all rows on Needle 1. Top of foot: Continue on in pattern on Needle 2 until approximately 2 inches from the end. Knit 15 stitches on Needle 1 and place marker for beginning of toe. Sample shows a total of $5\,\%$ repeats of the pattern from cuff to top of toe.

Decrease Row: On Needle 1, kto 3 stitches before end, k2tog, k1, on Needle 2, k1, ssk, knit to 3 stitches before end, k2 tog, k1, on Needle 1, k1, ssk, knit to marker. Row 1: Work Decrease Row.
