Eyelets and Lace Shawl
Eyelets and Lace is a shawl worked from the top down, casting on 3 sts, with a garter stitch tab, and is based on Elizabeth Zimmerman's Pi shawl technique. Materials: 4.5 mm Hiya Hiya bamboo circulars 3 - 50g balls Knit Picks Palette [approx. 145g, 5.1 oz, was used in this sample] OR whatever wool you want to use.... Gauge: The gauge is really not important, just make sure you like the look and drape of the fabric. Generally you will want to use a needle one or two sizes larger than usual for the wool in order to get a nice drape. Abbreviations: skpsso: slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1 stitch, then pass the slipped stitch over the knit stitch. slip 1 stitch knitwise, k2tog, then pass the slipped stitch over the k2tog stitch slpw: slip 1 stitch purlwise with the wool in front.
