Blue Jeans & Moon Beams
Moonbeams and Blue Jeans Shawl
This versatile shawl made with yarn spun from recycled jeans adds a fun and creative approach to your lace knitting. Plus it's a great garment to throw over your shoulders to chase the chill or use it as a neck or hip scarf for a sassy wardrobe accent. After the initial set-up and one repeat of chart A, the fun begins! Then feel free to follow the charts from B-E or explore possibilities by rearranging the charts however you wish or just pick one pattern and repeat it as many times as you'd like. As long as you complete a full repeat of all the rows in each pattern repeat and you're ready to restart Row 1 of charts B-E, you can pick any chart you'd like in any order! The border pattern will add two inches so when the shawl is almost your desired size, stop at the end of the last pattern repeat row on the wrong side and start the Border chart. It's completely customizable to your heart's desire. Because I encourage everyone to work from charts, no written directions are given for the stitch patterns past the initial set-up. You do have your choice of regular charts or stitch maps which show symbols in the actual flow of the stitch patterns. Each stitch map indicates the edge, center and repeat stitches as in the regular chart. If you'd like to see continuous repeats of the individual stitch patterns click on the links below each map. d like more information about stitch maps visit: stitch-maps.Cor
