DD's Crochet
ICROCHET LITTLE TWIN STARS: KIKI & LALA]
Finished Size Approx.4.5"tall
Materials:
- size E 3.5mm crochethook - worsted yarn (I use simply soft) white/cream/pink/blue/yellow - polyester fiber filling - tapestry needle & marker - one pair of 6mm safety eyes
Terms:
MR = magic ring, sc sc = single crochet, sl st = slip stitch, fo = fasten off/finish, ch = chain, st = stitch, blo = back loop only, flo = front loop only, dec = decrease / make 1 single crochet over next two stitches, inc = increase / make 2 single crochet on the same stitch Shell Stitch = skip 1 stitch, make 5 half double crochet in same stitch, skip another 1 stitch, then slip stitch the next one.
Pattern
Head:
Using cream/skin color yarn, R1 - Magic Ring of 8 single crochet (8) R2 -increase in every stitch (16) R3 - repeat \*1sc, 1inc\* 8 times (24) R4 -repeat \*1sc, 1sc, 1inc\*8 times (32) R5 -repeat \*1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1inc\* 8 times (40) R6\~R14 - make 1sc for each stitch (40) R15 -repeat \*1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1dec\* 8 times (32) R16 -repeat \*1sc, 1sc, 1dec\* 8 times (24) R17 - repeat \*1sc, 1dec\* 8 times (16) Insert safety eyes between round 11&12, then stuff with fiber filling.
Hair Bump x 2:
Using blue for Kiki, pink for Lala, R1 - magic ring of 4 single crochet (4) R2 - 1sc for each stitch around (4) finish!
Feet x 2:
Using cream/skin color yarn, R1 - magic ring of 6 single crochet (6) R2\~R4 - 1 sc for each stitch around (6)
Hands x 2:
Using cream/skin color yarn, R1 - magic ring of 4 single crochet (4) R2 - change to white yarn, increase for each stitch (8) R3 - make 3sc, 1dec, 3sc (7) R4 - 1 sc for each stitch around (7) R5 - make 3sc, 1dec, 2sc (6) R6 - 1 sc for each stitch around (6) R7 - only make 3sc then finish off with long tail to sew.
Hair (Kiki):
Using blue color yarn, R1 - Magic Ring of 8 single crochet (8) R2 - increase in every stitch (16) R3 - repeat \*1sc, 1inc\* 8 times (24) R4 - repeat \*1sc, 1sc, 1inc\*8 times (32) R5 - repeat \*1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1inc\* 8 times (40) R6\~R12 - make 1sc for each stitch (40) R13 - make 8sc, then 6 shell stitches, 8sc (40) as shown
Hair (Lala):
Using pink coior yarn, R1 - Magic Ring of 8 single crochet (8) R2 - increase in every stitch (16) R3 - repeat \*1sc, 1inc\* 8 times (24) R4 -repeat \*1sc, 1sc, 1inc\*8 times (32) R5 -repeat \*1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1inc\* 8 times (40) R6\~R12 - make 1sc for each stitch (40) R13 - make 16 sc,then 6 shell stitches as shown R14 - adding long hair for the back by make 16 sc, chain 1 then turn. R15\~R20 - make 16sc, ch1 then turn R21 - starting from beginning of R14, attach hair color/pink, then single crochet along the edge of back long hair (round 14-20) all the way and add 4 shells as well.
Body:
Using white color yarn, R1 - magic ring of 8 single crochet (8) R2 - repeat \*inc\* 8 times (16) R3 - repeat \*1sc, 1inc\* 8 times (24) R4 - repeat \*3sc, 1inc\* 6 times (30) R5 - repeat \*4sc, 1inc\* 6 times (36) R6a - BLO, back loop only, repeat \*4sc, 1dec\* 6 times (30) R7a - repeat \*6sc, 1dec\* 3 times (27) R8a - 1 sc for each stitch around (27) R9a - repeat \*5sc, 1dec\* 3 times (24) R10a - 1 sc for each stitch around (24) R11a - repeat \*4sc, 1dec\* 4 times (20) R12a - 1 sc for each stitch around (20) R13a -repeat \*3sc, 1dec\* 4 times (16) and finish off R6b - FLO, front loop only, make 1sc around (36) R6b - 1sc for each stitch around (36) and finish off.
Small Star:
Using yellow color yarn, R1 - magic ring of 5 single crochet (5) R2 - repeat \*in same stitch, make 1 sc, ch3, slip stitch\* 5 times for each stitch space.
Big Star:
Using yellow color yarn, R1 - magic ring of 5 single crochet (5) R2 - repeat \*inc\* 5 times (10) R3 -repeat \*1inc\* 10 times (20) R4 -repeat \*3sc, 1inc\* 5 times (25) R5 - repeat \*4sc, 1inc\* 5 times (30) R6 - repeat \*5sc, 1inc\* 5 times (35) R7 -repeat \*6sc, 1inc\* 5 times (40) R8 - adding 5 pointy sides for star, for each side, Attach new yarn, make (8sc, ch1 turn), (dec, 4sc, dec, ch1 turn), (dec, 2sc, dec, ch1 turn), (dec, dec, ch1 turn), (dec, finish off) Finally, attach same color yarn and make single crochet around the start and you are done!!
Belt (Kiki):
Using pink yarn and chain as long as you need for the bow and tie to waist.
Assembly
1. Attach safety eyes to the head 2. Attach hair to the head 3. Attach head to the body 4. Attach hands to the body 5. Attach feet to the body 6. Attach hair bumpx2 on hair 7. Attach small star to Lala's hair if you prefer 8. Tie the belt to Kiki
