The Ruffler

Gauge: 16-18 sts/4" (it stretches, s0 don't stress about the gauge) Yarn: One skein of malabrigo or other very soft worsted weight yarn Needles: Double points or a $\mathbf{16"}$ circular in a size to get you gauge. I probably used fives or sixes, by I am a very loose knitter. If I were to do it again, which I probably will someday, I would like it a bit longer- it shrinks vertically over the years and years you will wear it. If you have more than one skein, use it. The ruffle requires a lot of stitches, so if you hate binding off less than casting on, just make it backwards.
Start with the ruffle:
Cast on 192 stitches Join to work in the round on double points or a $16^{\prime\prime}$ circular needle. Knit two rows (k1, K2tog) across (128 sts) Knit two rows (k1, k2tog) across (64 sts)
Knit a tube:
· Knit until you almost run out of yarn (leave enough for cast off) ·Cast off. Alternative Prettier Ruffle (uses more yarn; use the minimal ruffle above if you have only one skein): Cast on 192 stitches Knit for an inch (5 rows?) k3tog across (64 sts) Knit until you almost run out of yarn (leave enough for cast off) Cast off.

$\circledcirc$ MrsPeterson if it's possible to copyright a tube with a ruffle at the end
