Crochet a Love Charm The Heart Felt - Felted Heart Charm

This cute little crocheted charm is a wonderful creation of magical intent that is perfect for aligning with the energies of love and of passion. You can use this charm to “amp' up the attraction energy as you carry it. You can focus or meditate with this charm and allow it to guide you in the actions that can further influence your love attraction. You can even allow this charm to stream the current of attraction energy as you sleep by placing it under your pillow at night. As with any magical art; this purposeful pattern comes with the typical magical caveat; \*“As with all acts of intent and attraction (whether labeled magic or not) YOU are the beginning and the end. The magic is not within the tools; it lies within the Practitioner. (again YOU) YOU are responsible for all outcomes (or lack thereof) for all acts of magic, including this one. We offer NO guarantees or promises. You are paying for the pattern and the magical information is provided as a gift for you to use or not use. The Materials and Considerations\* Size “"G’ (4.25 mm) Crochet Hook Tapestry needle Optional Safety pin or other stitch marker 4ply ww Wool or other animal fiber yarn in color of choice\* Fiber fill and other fillers (herbs and essential oils)\* Charms\* Optional needle and sewing thread \*Felting is a process that uses temperature change, soap to lubricate the fibers and agitation to allow the individual stitches to blend together and form a sturdy fabric. Felting is a process that will be successful with a limited type of fibers. The type of fibers that you will want to use in the process are animal (sheep, alpaca, etc) fibers (hair) that are acquired when the animal is sheared, brushed or otherwise has his coat trimmed back. For felting, your yarn content should contain at least 80 percent of animal fiber. Not all yarns felt alike. Some dyes and treatments will affect the felting process. Such examples would include super wash yarns that are treated to prevent felting and dyes that traditionally coat the hair cuticles and prevent felting. With the popularity of felting, many yarn companies will state on the label if the yarn will or will not felt. As felting causes the stitches to blend, your finished product may be as much as 30 percent smaller than the originally stitched item. Since we are working to create a love attraction, I love the idea that felting allows individual stitches to blend and form a unified strong fabric. I also recognize that some people either can't or don't want to work with animal fiber / hair. Use of a cotton or acrylic yarn is a fabulous, non felting substitute. You may want to go to an “F hook (3.75 mm) as you work the pattern. This smaller hook will create a firm crocheted fabric. Color choices can reflect “your heart's attracting intent." Generally the choices for amore' include; Red - Strong love, passion, red is recognized with the root chakra that speaks Stability and security Pink - Romance and a gentle romantic love, pink is often recognized with the heart chakra that speaks of divine and unconditional love White - Pure, honest and true. White is often associated with the Crown chakra carrying the energy of Highest Self and Highest Source creation \*Fiber fill is another consideration when creating this charm. You can use polyester fiber fill -- or - if you want to keep your materials all natural, you can use cotton or cotton balls. The pattern will direct you to lightly fill your heart and crochet the sides closed. If you are filling your heart prior to felting, you do not want to firmly pack the fiber fill in. Considering that the felting process will shrink the hearts size as much as 30 percent, you do want to allow room for this shrinkage. You don't want any fill protruding from your heart nor do you want to mis-shape your heart. Another option in the magical creation is to include herbs as a portion of the filling. Of course you would not want to put the herbs through the felting process. You can add the herbs after the felting is complete. You can leave an opening along one of the heart's sides to add filling after the felting process. Generally the two sides of the heart will not felt together, but if you are nervous about the possibility, you can lightly stuff the heart with fiberfill. You can then replace the fiberfill with herbs or essential oil infused fiber fill after the heart is completelyfelted. You can select your herbs and essential oils based on the attainment of your heart's desire. Here are some herbs and oils that are commonly associated with love; Herbs - Lavender flowers, Lemon Balm, Rose Petals, Gentian root, Basil, Aster Essential oils -- Rose, Jasmine, Sandalwood, Patchouli \* The use of charms is a wonderful addition to this heart. You can choose from any array of love symbols and / or any array of gemstones. Gemstones commonly associated with love vibration include; Rose Quartz and Adventure - Both which act to clear the energy of any untoward expectations, fears etc Ruby - reflects love and passion Red Garnet - Love and Passion and root chakra energy Carnelian - connection and sacral chakra energy that allows for healthy connections that are empowering instead of enabling While these are not “nature made, I do love working with aurora borealis crystals that reflect the colors of the rainbow ... which are also the colors of the chakras. I am a firm believer in color vibration healing and magic. I set the intent that the colors emitted through the crystals will align with, heal and / or project any energy that needs to be aligned with, healed and / or projected.

The Magic
I have been a practitioner of Witchcraft since the early 1970's. If there is one thing that I have learned, it is that there is no one magical method that “appropriately" creates magic. Magic is a living energy that creates in unity with our living energy. This co -- creation then becomes an energy that is as individual as your very thumb print. It is this uniqueness that imprints your intent and creations to you. I have provided the words and the guidelines of the spell. But you can feel free and comfortable to change any wording or any timing to custom fit your needs and your desired intents. Most attraction work is done while the moon is waxing. Most people also lend more love attraction energy to the moon that is gibbous or nearly full. You can also use other astrological influences, ie a moon in Venus, to lend even more oomph to your spell work. Gather your tools; Gather, ground and center your flow of mind, body, Spirit energy. Focus the God(dess)'s source energy flowing through you with each breath. State these or similar words; " Heart's intent I create -- With every stitch that I make" "As above, so below - I radiate my loving flow" "As Below, so Above - I accept and allow true nourishing love."" Visualize and viseralize (feel to the core) that this love is yours now. As you visualize and viseralize, begin the pattern.

The Magical Finish
You can consecrate your item as you desire. You can affirm the energy by stating these or similar words, "The spell is cast - the energies align and flow with me. My intents are manifest - so mote it be." Karen Glasgow Follett Cpr February 2013. Karen Glasgow Follett
