Dogwood Hat
Designed by Emily Benson This hat features a simple, repeating eyelet pattern that continues right up to the top of the hat, creating six panels somewhat reminiscent of the leaves of a dogwood tree. Worked in a light color, it can brighten up an autumn day, reminding the wearer that even though winter is on its way, spring is sure to follow! Yarn: Malabrigo worsted, 1 skein"Lettuce" Needles: set of five US 7 $(4.5\;\mathsf{m m})$ needles, double pointed (or size needed to obtain gauge) Notions: tapestry needle Gauge: 18 stitches, 24 rows for 4 inch (10.16 cm) x 4 inch $(10.16\,\mathsf{c m})$ block in stockinette stitch Finished measurements: stretches up to 22 inches (49.25 cm) circumference, 7.75 inches ( $17.25\,\mathsf{c m})$ tall
