Knitted Weeping Angel
I love the Weeping Angel Statue by Shirley MacDonald, but I knit and can't crochet. So I made my own knitted version of the Angel from Doctor Who. Please remember BBC copyright and make this only for your own enjoyment. Size 4 double pointed needles Light worsted weight or DK weight in grey Gauge not important, but my finished angel is 3 1/2 inches high. Cast on 6 sts
Head:
Round 1: Knit being careful not to twist. Round 2: kfb in every st (12 sts) Round 3: \*kfb, k1\* , cont. to end of round (18 sts) Round 4: \*kfb, k2\*, cont. to end of round (24 sts) Round 5: k5, make bobble, knit to end Bobble: knit front, back, front in same stitch; turn and purl; turn and knit; turn and purl2tog, pl; turn and k2tog Round 6: Knit to end Round 7: \*K2tog, k2\*, cont. to end of round (18sts) Round 8: \*K2tog, k1\*, cont. to end of round (12 sts) Stuff head. Round 9: \*K2tog\*, cont. to end of round (6 sts)
Body:
Round 10: Knit to end Round 11: Kfb in every st (12 sts) Round 12: \*Kfb, k1\*, cont. to end of round (18 sts) Round 13-25: Knit Stuff body.
Base:
Round 26: \*K2tog, k1\*, cont. to end of round (12 sts) Round 27: Knit to end. Round 28: \*K2tog\*, cont. to end of round (6 sts) Pull yarn through stitches and sew closed. Angel body is now complete.

Arms:
Cast on 3 sts. Knit i-cord for 11 rounds. Cast off. Make2. Sew on to body as desired or according to picture.

Wings:
Wings are knit in garter stitch, sideways. First Wing: Cast on 7 sts. Row 1: Knit Row 2: kfb, knit to end, co 4 sts Row 3: knit to last st, kfb Row 4: k2, kfb, k1, kfb, knit to end Row 5: Cast off 4, knit to end Row 6: Knit to last 2 sts, k2tog Row 7: k2tog, knit to last 2 sts, k2tog, Row 8: K2tog, knit to last 2 sts, K2tog Cast off. Second Wing: Pick up 7 sts from cast on stitches on first wing. Follow Rows 1-8 on first wing. Cast off. Sew on to back of angel.
