Size: One size fits most adult heads, though this pattern is easily alterable. Yarn: Any worsted weight yarn Main color pictured: Peach (120yds) Nipple color pictured: Pink (10yds) Note about yarn colors: I used the above to make the Boobie of a lighter complexion because this was the yarn I had in my Stash at the time. I invite you to knit Boobies (and Nipples!) in many different colors for many different complexions! Needles: US 9, $16^{\prime\prime}$ circular & double pointed needles (or size to obtain gauge) Gauge: $16\mathrm{sts}=4^{\prime\prime}$ in the round Notions: Stitch marker and tape measure.
Pattern:
Using Main Color yarn and circular needle, cast on 91 sts. Being careful not to twist work, place marker and join in the round. Knit all rounds until piece measures $5^{\prime\prime}$ (do not unroll the curled edge while measuring). Decrease for top of hat (Change to double pointed needles when necessary.) Decrease Round 1: \*K11, $\mathrm{K}2\mathrm{tog^{*}}$ repeat between \*, 6 more times to end of round. (84 sts) Decrease Round 2: K5, K2tog, $^{*}\mathrm{K}10.$ $\mathrm{K}2\mathrm{tog}^{*}$ repeat between $^*5$ more times to last 5 sts, K to end of round. (77 sts) Decrease Round 3: $^{*}\mathrm{K}9.$ $\mathrm{K}2\mathrm{tog}^{*}.$ repeat between $^*6$ more times to end of round. (70 sts) Decrease Round 4: K4, K2tog, $^{\ast}\mathrm{K}8,$ $\mathrm{K}2\mathrm{tog}^{*}$ repeat between $^*5$ more times to last 4 sts, K to end of round. (63 sts) Decrease Round 5: \*K7, $\mathrm{K}2\mathrm{tog^{*}},$ repeat between $^*6$ more times to end of round. (56 sts) Decrease Round 6: K3, K2tog, $^{\ast}\mathrm{K}6,$ $\mathrm{K}2\mathrm{tog}^{*}$ repeat between $^*5$ more times to last 3 sts, Kto end of round. (49 sts) Decrease Round 7: \*K5, K2tog\*, repeat between $^*6$ more times to end of round (42 sts) Decrease Round 8: K2, K2tog, $^{\ast}\mathrm{K4},$ $\mathrm{K}2\mathrm{tog}^{*}$ repeat between $^*5$ more times to last 2 sts, K to end of round. (35 sts) Decrease Round 9: $^{\ast}\mathrm{K}3$ $\mathrm{K}2\mathrm{tog}^{*}.$ repeat between $^*6$ more times to end of round. (28 sts) Areola: Break Main Color yarn and begin working in Nipple Color. Decrease Round $10{\mathrm{:}}\,^{*}\!K2.$ $\mathrm{K}2\mathrm{tog^{*}}$ repeat between $^*6$ more times to end of round. (21 sts) Decrease Round 11: \*K1, $\mathrm{K}2\mathrm{tog^{*}}$ repeat between $^*6$ more times to end of round. (14 sts) Decrease Round 12: K2tog to end of round (7 sts) Decrease Round 13: K1, K2tog, K1, K2tog, K1 (5 sts) Nipple! Using I-cord method, knit remaining 5 sts for 3 rounds. Break yarn and thread through all 5 stitches, cinching them together. Finishing: Weave in ends, wear, and enjoy!
Alteration Ideas:
Cast on more or fewer stitches to make a bigger or smaller Boobie. Similarly, start the Areola in a different round to make it bigger or smaller. To change the Nipple size, simply knit the I-cord with more or fewer stitches and knit to a length of yourliking. Add nipple jewelry if you feel so inclined!
