Want full ear coverage? Go for the brim! Shown here in Dream in Color Classy, In Vino Veritas, ${\sim}56$ grams. For additional pics, please visit knittywhipped.blogspot.com. I was in a fickle-type mood when I finally kicked my own arse and boop! Out came this hat! It's pretty simple and straightforward really, just some cables separated by knits and purls. But I did cross them on the 7th row - and with absolutely no planning or foresight - end up with 7 cables around and 7 cables up. Hence the Lucky 7 Hat! Oh, and I also worked the decreases so the cables would stay the same width all the way to the final cross. Gauge: 5 stitches/7 rows per inch in stockinette Yarn: 55-60 grams of worsted weight ( $\,\,{\sim}125$ yards) Needles: Size 7 or whatever floats your gauge boat (The type of needles and use of stitch markers are totally up to you! They aren't noted here to give you the flexibility to use magic loop, two circs, dpns, whatever you like without having to adjust for my method. ) Size: Ribbing is forgiving! Should fit heads in the $21-23^{\prime\prime}$ range, maybe more, maybe less.
