Big cable
On front and back the pattern repetition for the cable goes over 32 stitches and 20 rows, on arms just over 24 stitches. On right side rows knit, on wrong side rows purl, in rounds only knit. As the garment is made in rounds, the following description is for making the cable in rounds. Row 9: slip 8 stitches on a cable needle in front, k8, knit the stitches from the cable needle. Slip 8 stitches on a cable needle in the back, k8, knit the stitches from the cable needle. For cable on arms divide the stitches into 4x 6 instead of 4 x 8 stitches.
Body
The sweater is made with raglan shaping from the top. Cast on (116) 136 (156) stitches with needle #4 (3,5mm) and join. 10 rows garter stitch. Round 11: knit (34) 40 (46) stitches for front, pm, knit (24) 28 (32) stitches for arm, pm, (34) 40 (46) stitches for back, pm, knit (24) 28 (32) stitches for arm, pm. I (incr.): \*knit to marker, M1, k1, M1\*, repeat between \* over the round. Repeat this 2 rows till you have (330) 350 (370) stitches on your needle. AT THE SAME TIME Round 2O: establish the cables in the centre of the front and back as well as in the centre of arms and cross cable for first time - follow the instructions above and continue with these establishedcables throughout. When you have reached the stitch number above, separate your work to work front and back together. Front and back parts are each (89) 95 (101) stitches. Please add 2 stitches under each arm = (180) 194 (206). Continue the body to reach (130) 150 (170) rounds. Change to smaller needle and finish with 10 rounds in garter stitch.

Finish the cable repetition and change to smaller needle. Finish with 10 rounds in garter stitch. Block to measurements.
