Alchemy Yarns Silken Straw (100% silk; 236yds/40g): 2 skeins. Shown in 09m Pewter. US Size D (3.25 mm) crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge GAUGE 13 htr = 2"

beg beginning ch chain htr half treble crochet: yarn over hook, insert hook into a stitch, yarn over hook and draw a loop through (three loops on hook), yarn over hook and draw it through one loop, yarn over hook and draw it through two loops, yarn over hook and draw it through remaining two loops. sl st slip stitch
DIRECTIONS
Chain 10, leave a long tail set aside for later. 150 and being careful not to twist chain, join with a sl st to form a ring. Ch 3. Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as 1 htr), work one htr in each chain, join with a sl st in the top of the ch 3. Round 2: Ch 3, work one htr in each htr, join with a sl st in the beg ch. Round 3: Ch 3, work one htr in each htr, join with a sl st between the beg ch and the first htr. Rounds 4 & 5: Ch 3, work 2 htr in space between beg and first htr (the same place where you joined the previous row with a sl st), ch 3, work 3 htr in same space as the 2 htr, ch 6, \*skip next 10 stitches and work into the space between the 10th and 11th stitches, 3 htr, ch 3, 3htr, ch 6, repeat from \* around. End with ch 6 and join with a sl st to beg ch. Work a sl st in the top of the 2 htr. Rounds 6 & 7. Ch 3, work 2 htr in the ch-3 space, ch 3, work 3 htr in the same ch-3 space, ch 5, \*3 htr in the next ch-3 space, ch 3, 3 htr in same ch-3 space, ch 5, repeat from \* around. Join with a sl st to beg ch. Elongate the loop on the hook so it is about 1" long, keep it on the hook, \*make a loop in the 2nd of the ch dividing the groups of 2 htr, keep this loop on hook, make a loop in top of the 1st htr in the next cluster, keep this loop on the hook, repeat from \* around. Once you have several loops on the hook, thread the ch 10 from earlier through the loops. You will end up with 30 loops. Join the ch 10 with a sl st to form a ring. To tie off the last loop, make a slip st into the back on one of the htr and then pull the thread through. Weave in ends.
