BY JENNIFER CHASE-RAPPAPORT MATERIALs: Hazel Knits Lively DK - 2 skeins Collegiate (MC), 1 skein each Nickel (CC1) and Hawkeye (CC2) (275 yds/130 gms) For more information about this yarn, please go to: http://www.hazelknits.com/. Size 6 (4 mm) circular needle 16" OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE Size 5 (3.75 mm) needles stitchmarker GAUGE: 22 sts and 30 rows / 4" in stockinette stitch worked in the round. MEASUREMENTS: 7.5"X 63" KEY: MC - Main Color (Collegiate) CC1 - Contrast Color 1 (Nickel) CC2 - Contrast Color 2 (Hawkeye) Using larger needles, cast on 80 stitches and join to work in the round. Place a marker to note the beginning of the round. Knit all rounds in the following stripe sequence: 30 rounds MC 3 rounds CC1 2 rounds MC 3 rounds CC1 2 rounds MC 10 rounds CC2 2 rounds MC 3 rounds CC1 2 rounds MC 3 rounds CC1 Work complete stripe sequence 7 times total, then 30 more roundsMC. FINISHING: Arrange the stitches on your needle so that they are divided evenly between the needle tips. Using the smaller needle, knit together the first stitch on the front needle tip and the first stitch on the back needle tip. Continue knitting together the first stitch on each needle tip until all stitchesareknitoffofthe circularneedle and 40 stitches are on the smaller needle. Using smaller needles, bind off all stitches knitwise. Turn scarf inside out and weave in yarn ends. Turn scarf right side out again, and pick up 80 stitches around cast-on edge. Complete this end as for first end. Weave in remaining ends and block. Now go make some noise for the Seahawks!
